Pozdrav / Hello

Welcome to my blog! I am AnaJan, some of you might know me from BurdaStyle web site, where I'm a hyperactive member.
After almost two years of meditating about starting a blog, I've finally done it. I decided to keep it bilingual, since I'm from Serbia, and I'd like to enable as many people as possible to follow it without any difficulties.
I guess it would be nice to introduce myself to the ones who aren't familiar with my work. I started sewing when I was 15, but I was always very creative and, like many sewists, I used to sew miniature clothes for my dolls as a child. When I was 14 my mom made me few blouses and skirts, but since she wasn't a very skillful seamstress, she used to sew really slowly. Being an impatient teenager, I couldn't wait for her to finish the project, so I decided I could do it better and faster than she did. And so it began. I was practically self taught. The only few lessons my mom gave me were how to trace a pattern from Burda World of Fashion (BWOF) magazines and how to thread the machine. It took me years to learn some advanced techniques, or to put it better - to figure out how some things are done. But it was worth the time and effort! Now, 16 years later, I can say I'm a skillful seamstress with rich sewing background.
I've decided to start this blog in order to show you what I'm sewing and what the sewing process looks like. Also, I'll try to show you how I make my patterns and how I alter the existing ones to get the form I need. Hopefully, we'll enjoy this blog together!
