Dan drugi.
Crvena viskozna haljina, koju sam napravila pre par godina.
Day two.
A red viscose dress I made few yars ago. I loved this dress the minute I saw it in the magazine (BWOF 2/2007, #124. ). I was searching for the right kind of fabric for a long time – I couldn’t find the right shade of red.
I had to alter the dress a lot, to make it fit me right. I am size 38 in the top part, and size 40 in the lower part. I traced size 38 and it turned huge around the bust and shoulders. It took me some time to fix that.
The dress is fully lined. I used a piece of white cotton for the under collar to make it a bit stiffer. Also, I used white interfacing for the collar and button closure, which gave these parts a slightly pale shade compared to the rest of the dress.
The neckline is a bit low for my small bust, so I have to be careful when I move my arms and body. Other than that, I love the dress.
Lagana,prava letnja,boja takodje po mom ukusu.Ana kojom brzinom šiješ to ?! :)
ReplyDeleteYou sew beautifully and you have an eye for fabric/colour to match designs, that is rare. I have followed your work here and on burda style. Well done!
ReplyDeleteits very pretty. I always admire all your outfits. This is no exception.
ReplyDeleteCute dress! I love the collar.
ReplyDeleteMe Made posts are a great way for me to see all the garments you made before I started reading your blog. This is a really pretty dress. I like the way the white fabric changes the color of the collar to one that is slightly different but still coordinates. Neat trick to remember.
ReplyDeleteAudrey
It is a lovely dress.
ReplyDeleteAnd interesting, since you mentioned your size here, you and I are exactly the same size! And height too!(you mentioned in the last post!)
Oh!
ReplyDeleteAnaJan, I'm taking today to catch up on your blog. If I were in Serbia, I'd insist we go out in our matching dresses :) Mine sat unfinished for so long, and I neglected to line it, plus am not totally happy with the fit. But still, it would be a fun pair...yours is just so lovely!!!
