Invazija u Sew News časopisu / Invasion in the Sew News magazine

Dragi čitaoci, novo izdanje Sew News časopisa je izašlo iz štampe, i zamislite moje iznenađenje kada sam videla svoju haljinu, poznatu pod nazivom Dots Invasion - Invazija tufni, na naslovnoj stranici! To zaista nisam očekivala! No, ne bunim se! ;-)

  • Meredith Ploughman; njena varijacija u divnom cvetnom dezenu
  • moja malenkost

Dear readers, a new issue of the Sew News magazine has been published, and imagine my surprise when I saw my dress, known as the Dots Invasion dress, on the cover of the magazine! I honestly didn't expect this!  Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm complaining! ;-)

I sewed the dress approximately 2 years ago, and I posted the pattern for it on the BurdaStyle. Since then, numerous variations on the dress appeared on the website, leaving me literally speechless. I was fascinated by the fabrics, colors and ornaments used, that gave each dress a unique look. I have to confess that there's no greater reward than seeing your pattern being used world wide and seeing the photos of the finished variations.
The picture above is a small collage made out of the creation photos from the BurdaStye website. Starting from the top left corner (click on the picture to enlarge):
  • vampiressrevenge; this young lady wrote a detailed review on my pattern on the Pattern Review website, feel free to read it.
  • rebeccawoode; I have to specially commend her work, since she graded up the original pattern by 5 sizes, keeping the design intact.
  • emlj, who made several variations on my patterns, and I can't decide which one I like the best!
  • robynemde; I especially like the colors contrast and the knee length (I might make something similar myself!)
  • pamlynch; just take a look at this fireworks of colors!
  • kapuscin; this variation made the dress classic, compared with my almost avantgarde version
  • Meredith Ploughman; her variation is made in a lovely floral print.
  • myself
You can see all the variations on the dress on the BurdaStyle website. The pattern for the same dress, in size 38-40 can be downloaded from the Download tab of my blog. You can read the article on the website of the SewNews magazine.
