I think it's about time to show you some actual sewing on Štepalica!
I plan to make the dress from the drawing using a very interesting striped linen that I bought yesterday. I'm still biased on few details:
- Should I make the button closure along the whole dress, or just on the top part?
- Should I make pleats on the skirt?
- Should I make the same detail from the front waist on the back too, or should it be slightly diferent?
I'll decide it along the way, at this moment it's important for me to have a basic idea on the pattern. A note - the details on the waist indicate the stripes direction, not the pleats/pintucks.
Who made the drawing? You? Amazing!
ReplyDeleteGreat design... just the way how it is.
(I would make the back without pleats and the button closure in the front along the whole dress. IMHO)
can't wait to see what you decide!
ReplyDeleteMy votes:
ReplyDeleteBodice buttons
Pleated skirt
Pleated detail in back
Can't wait to see it either. Is the fabric striped in two tones of the same color, contrast or variegated?
POzdrav Ana !
ReplyDeleteHhhmm.... I like the idea of bodice buttons, no pleats, and the front waist detail carrying over to the back. But it's so tough to decide without seeing the textiles :)
