This spring I found in local Italtes stores (they sell fabrics per kilo) a lot of striped fabrics for shirts. I bought a lot of fabrics - 21m (0.90m wide)! The fabric was really cheap, one shirt will cost me approximately 3 euros, and I have enough fabric for 7 shirts, and I'll have remnants that I plan to combine with other fabrics.

I wanted to try out a new pattern, so I traced the shirt pattern from BWOF 8/2006, #105. The pattern is beautifully drafted, I didn't have to alter almost anything. I only added waist darts on the back, which is a standard thing for me, since I have a disproportionally narrow waist compared to the rest of my body.

Fabulous job. I have just seen this on Burda site and I love how you have used the stripes. Such a great fit and highlights your lovely waist perfectly!

    1. Thank you! I like the shirt, but I don't wear it very often. It is to short to stay tucked in, yet too long for my liking to wear it untucked...
