Me-Made-March 2011: Epilog / Epilogue

Mart je bio prilično zanimljiv mesec, a Me-Made-March izazov se pokazao kao pravo otkriće. Tokom meseca sam nosila svoju ručno rađenu garderobu, kombinujući je, prema potrebi, sa kupljenim stvarima. Ukupno, iznosila sam 40 svojih stvari: 13 bluza/košulja, 10 suknji, 8 jakni, 5 pari pantalona, 3 kaputa i 1 haljinu. 

Moj lični izazov je bio da ne ponovim istu odevnu kombinaciju tokom celog meseca, u čemu sam i uspela. Druga zamisao koju sam imala se nije 100% realizovala - želela sam da svakog dana prikažem novu stvar, koju nisam pokazala prethodinh. Moram da priznam da je ovaj plan propao ne zato što nisam imala još stvari u svom ormanu, već zato što nisam imala vremena da ih opeglam! Neke od košulja koje imam zahtevaju da ih prethodno nafajtam, kako bi se pamuk glatko ispeglao, a taj deo postupka mi je nekad bio previše mrzak ili naporan. 

Takođe, jedan dan sam preskočila (20.3.), ali sam zato drugog dana (12.3.) imala dve kombinacije, tako da sam zaokružila mesec sa 31 outfitom. 

Omiljena kombinacija mi je bila ljubičasta haljina, a najviše komplimenata sam dobila za outfit od 16.3.

Imala sam i par ličnih iznenađenja:

• Teksas blejzer i vunene pantalone (6.3.)
• Crna košulja i crna suknja stilizovane sa koralno crvenim aksesoarom (14.3.)
• Ljubičasta košulja i crno-sivi karirani blejzer (23.3.)

Ove tri kombinacije su mi posebno drage jer sam otkrila nove načine da nosim svoje stvari. Sada mi te kombinacije izgledaju očigledne, ali tada su mi bile kao otkrovenja :).

March was a really interesting month, and the Me-Made-March turned out to be a true revelation. During the month I wore self made wardrobe that I sometimes styled up with some RTW garments, depending on the need. I wore total of 40 garments: 13 shirts/blouses, 10 skirts, 8 jackets, 5 pairs of pants, 3 coats and 1 dress.

My personal challenge was not to repeat the same outfit during the month, and I succeeded in it. However, I didn't manage to materialize the other idea I had - to show you a new garment each day. I have to admit that this part of the game failed not because I didn't have enough clothes in my wardrobe, but because I didn't have enough time to press it! Some of the shirts I have require to be slightly moist before ironing them, in order to press the cotton nicely. This part of the job was sometimes too overwhelming or just complicated to me. 

I skipped one day (20.3.), but the other day I had two outfits, so I completed the month with 31 outfits. 

My favorite outfit was the purple dress, while I got the most compliments for the outfit of the 16.3.

I had a few personal surprises:

• Denim jacket and woolen pants (6.3.)
• Black shirt and black skirt styled up with coral red accessories (14.3.)
• The purple shirt and the gray-black basket wave jacket (23.3.)

I'm specially fond of these three outfits because they gave me new ways to wear my clothes. Now all of the outfits look so obvious, but back then they were like revelations :).

Dan poslednji...

Huuuh, dođosmo i do kraja martovskog izazova! Moram priznati da mi je bilo jako zanimljivo ovih dana dok sam uklapala svoje ručno rađene stvari jedne s drugima. Mnoge kombinacije sam po prvi put uklopila minulih dana, i ostala prilično iznenađena kada sam shvatila koliko dobro izgledaju. Neke od svojih stvari sam ovog meseca nosila mnogo više nego minulih meseci, pa čak i godina. Uz neke stvari sam našla neočekivane nove kombinacije, tako da mogu da zaključim da je ovaj izazov bio ne samo zabavan, nego i veoma koristan!

I danas nosim već viđene stvari, košulju i jaknu. 

The last day...

Pheeew, the end of the March challenge is here! I have to admit that I was having a lot of fun matching my self made clothes with each other. Many of the outfits I showed you were matched together for the first time, and I was quite surprised when I realized how well the garments looked together. I wore some of the garments more frequently during this month than I used to in the past few months, or even years. I styled some new unexpected outfits, which brings me to conclusion that the challenge was not only fun but very useful as well!

I danas ponavljam već viđene stvari. Prvi put sam uparila ovu košulju i kaput, i bila iznenađena time koliko lepo se slažu.

Day thirty

I'm showing again some already worn garments. This was the first time I paired this shirt with this coat, and I was surprised by who well the two matched with each other.

Day twenty nine

MMM '11: Dan 28 / Day 28

Dan dvadeset osmi:

• Bluza - kroj iz Burde 10/2004, #116.
  Devojka mog brata mi je poklonila gomilu materijala, pošto su njoj bili beskorisni (ona ne šije), i nisu joj se sviđali. Pa, meni su bili sjajni :). Ovaj bledo žuti - zlatni saten mi je odmah zapao za oko. Imala sam taman toliko materijala da napravim bluzu sa kratkim rukavima. Dugmad sam dobila od tetke, a zlatna trakica je ostatak od prethodnog šivenja.
  Kroj sam dosta izmenila - dodala sam brusne na prednem delu, kako bih strukirala bluzu, i morala sam dosta da je suzim oko struka duž bočnih šavova. Takođe, napravila sam brusnu po sredini leđa. Svukupno, suzila sam originalan kroj za 10cm u predelu struka! Na kraju, skratila sam bluzu za 6cm, pošto je bila preduga. Krajnji rezultat je ova bluza, koja mi se jako dopada.

Day twenty eight:

• Blouse - BWOF 10/2004, #116 pattern. 
  My brother’s girlfriend gave me a bunch of fabrics  as she found them useless (she doesn’t sew), and she didn’t like them. Well, I loved them :). This pale yellow – golden satin caught my eye instantly. I had just enough for a short sleeves blouse. Buttons I used were given to me by my aunt, and the golden lace is a leftover from the previous project I had worked on. 
  I altered the original pattern by adding front darts, to accentuate my waist more, and I had to narrow the blouse a lot (my standard problem with BWOF blouse patterns) on the side seams and I added a back dart (I narrowed the blouse by 10cm in the waist area!). Finally, I shortened the blouse by 6cm, since it was too long. I really like the result.

Danas nemam ništa novo da vam pokažem. Ovaj dan je bio topao i sunčan, pa sam ga iskoristila za šetnju po gradu, u već poznatoj jakni.

I have nothing new to show you today. It's been a warm and sunny day and I used it to walk around the city in the known jacket.

MMM '11: Dan 22 / Day 22

Dan dvadeset drugi:

• Suknja - kroj iz Burde 1/1998, #103. Ovaj kroj je identičan kao kroj za suknju koju sam prikazala drugog dana. 
• Jakna - kroj iz stare Burde iz 1998. godine, sašila sam je pre desetak godina. Ovaj blejzer mi je posebno drag, jer je to bila prva jakna kojoj sam ispravno prišila postavu. Blejzer više ne nosim tako često, jer sam u međuvremenu sašila dosta jakni koje su mnogo urednije sašivene, a perfekcionista u meni se naježi svaki put kada vidi greške iz ranih dana. Ipak, ova jakna čini savršenu kombinaciju sa kariranom suknjom.
• Košulja - već prikazana osmog dana.

Day twenty two:

• Skirt - BWOF 1/1998, #103 pattern. The pattern is identical to the pattern of the skirt that I showed you on the day two.
• Jacket - the pattern comes from an old BWOF from 1998, I made the jacket approximately 10 years ago. The jacket has a sentimental value to me, since it was the first time I applied properly the lining on a jacket. I don't wear the jacket as frequently as I used to because I made a lot of better jackets after this one and a perfectionist in me wants to scream every time she sees the flaws from her early days. However, the jacket is a perfect match with the tartan skirt.

MMM '11: Dan 21 / Day 21

Dan dvadeset prvi:

• Bluza - kroj iz Burde 10/2005, #112. Košulja ima nabran okovratnik. Malo sam izmenila rukave - produžila ih i malo proširila oko zgloba, kako bih dobila nabore. Takođe, dodala sam manžetne.
• Pantalone - već prikazane četvrtog dana.
• Kaput - S kaput, već prikazan petnaestog i devetnaestog dana.

Day twenty first:

• Blouse - BWOF pattern 10/2005, #112. The blouse has a gathered neckline. I slightly altered the sleeves – I lengthened them and made them bit wider in the wrist area and added cuffs. That made this puffy effect I like very much.
• Pants - already shown on day four.
• Coat - the "S" coat, already shown on days fifteen and nineteen.

• Skirt - I actually don't remember what pattern I used to make it. I sewed it some five years ago, and it's one of my favorite garments; I get a lot of compliments for it whenever I wear it.

Noć dvanaesta:

• Nora haljina, o kojoj sam već pisala. Osnov za gornji deo je Nora kroj sa BurdaStyle sajta, dok sam suknju i obi pojas sama modelovala. Izvinjavam se zbog lošeg kvaliteta fotografija, bili smo u noćnom klubu, i nismo imali dovoljno prostora ni osvetljenja za bolje snimke.
